Just rebuilt a 1990 polaris trail boss 250 and it wont run?

just rebuilt a 1990 polaris trail boss 250 and it wont stay running. it will run for about a minute and then die and i have to take the plug out and pull the plug out of the bottom and then it will run for another minute and then die again. any ideas?
